Update Doctors On The Latest Breakthroughs

Frontier Lifeline Hospital celebrated its eighth Annual Day at Frontier Mediville recently. David Holly, Australian Consul General for South India, was the chief guest on the occasion and Professor JSN Murthy, Vice Chancellor, Ramachandra Medical University and Dr KM Cherian, CEO and founder of Frontier Lifeline Hospital also participated.

David Holly, in his address, said that the need for developing niche solutions to cardiac care was essential in the current environment where costs for health services were increasing, making it difficult for the common man to gain access to these basic necessities. He urged for further collaboration between the two countries to further R&D in the field of cardiac care.

Professor M Srinivasan, Dean and Principal of Kasturba Medical College, Mangalore and Sri RS Munirathinam, Chairman of RMK Group of Educational Institutions stressed the need for the medical fraternity to keep abreast of the latest advancements in their respective fields. While medical institutions invest heavily in R&D, it is also paramount for them to recognise the need to update doctors and care staff on these breakthroughs.

The event marked felicitation the achievers of the year from the hospital and 10 students from Meenakshi University were given their convocation certificates by professor JSN Murthy.

The gathering also witnessed the talent of the staff of Frontier Lifeline on stage through various cultural programmes like fusion dance, traditional dance and mime programmes. A song rendition by Reena Raju, a heart transplant patient, was well–received by the audience.
